About Karma
Meet Karma, a 2-year, 6-month-old Pit Bull Terrier Mix who’s a devoted and shy soul looking for her forever home. This large, 61.2-lb beauty came to the Humane Society of Valdosta with her eight newborn puppies, all of whom have found homes. Now, it’s Karma’s turn to shine. She’s dog-friendly (prefers males), cat-friendly, crate-trained, and house-trained, making her a great fit for a peaceful household with kids over 12. Karma’s shy nature means she takes time to warm up, but once she does, she’s a true Velcro dog, sticking by your side with unwavering loyalty. Eligible for the Pets for Patriots program, she’s a perfect match for a patient, understanding adopter—especially a woman in a women-only household.
Characteristics
Loyal & Affectionate: Karma is a Velcro dog who loves cuddling and staying close to her human.
Shy but Protective: She takes time to trust but will alert you with a bark to anything unusual.
Gentle with Cats: Karma adores cats, giving them gentle kisses, and is learning to play with dogs.
Well-Mannered: House-trained and crate-trained, she’s ready for a calm home environment.

Karma is fully house-trained and comfortable in a crate, making her a low-maintenance addition to the right home.
Karma’s Story
Karma, a 2-year, 6-month-old Pit Bull Terrier Mix, arrived at the Humane Society of Valdosta with her eight newborn puppies, whom she raised with unwavering devotion. Now that her pups have all been adopted, Karma is ready to find a home where she can be the one receiving love. Her shy nature means she needs a patient adopter to help her feel secure, but once she trusts you, she becomes a loyal, cuddly companion who follows you everywhere. Karma’s gentle kisses to cats and her mama-like role with other dogs (preferring males) show her nurturing side, while her protective bark adds a touch of watchfulness to her sweet personality.
Karma thrives in calm, women-only households, as men make her nervous. She’s happiest cuddling close, keeping the peace among other animals, and soaking up affection. Her journey as a devoted mama has prepared her to be a steadfast companion, and her eligibility for the Pets for Patriots program makes her a special fit for veterans seeking a loyal friend. Karma is ready to find a forever home where her shy, soulful heart can blossom.
Ideal Home
Karma would thrive in a calm, women-only household where she can be the only pet or live with male dogs and cats, soaking up all the love and attention. A securely fenced yard is ideal for her to relax and explore safely, though she’s content with a cozy indoor space for cuddling. She’s best suited for families with children over 12 who can respect her shy nature and give her time to warm up. Patient, understanding owners—especially women or veterans through the Pets for Patriots program—who can provide a peaceful environment and gentle encouragement will find Karma to be a loyal, heartwarming companion. A suburban or urban setting with a calm atmosphere will make her life truly special.
