Applicants must first submit the preliminary adoption form. The shelter will then arrange an appointment and help identify dogs that fit the applicant’s household. A home visit is required before the adoption can be finalized.

About Casey
Casey is a clever, spirited senior girl searching for someone who appreciates an intelligent dog with a loyal heart.
She is house-trained, highly food-motivated, and loves learning. Casey already knows several cues—including “sit,” “paw,” “down,” “touch,” and “place.” She would thrive with a confident handler who enjoys training and can continue building upon the strong foundation she already has.
Although Casey loves her trusted people, large crowds are not her idea of a good time. She would be happiest in a calmer home where her family respects her need for personal space. When visitors arrive, Casey is comfortable relaxing in a quiet area of her own.
Casey previously lived with another dog and may enjoy having a compatible canine companion again. She needs slow introductions to unfamiliar dogs, allowing her time to become comfortable instead of being rushed into a new relationship.
Her compatibility with cats and children has not been established. Families with either should discuss their household with the shelter before applying.
