Chyna is a loving, cuddly pup with a trademark pittie smile, endless kisses, and a penchant for hogging the sofa. Known affectionately as a “land manatee,” she’s ready to bring warmth, charm, and the occasional dainty toot to her forever home.

  • Affectionate & Cuddly: Chyna loves giving kisses and snuggling on cozy beds or sofas.

  • Charming & Playful: Her pittie smile and joyful personality light up any room.

  • Well-Mannered: House-trained and comfortable in a home environment, she’s ready to settle in.

  • Loyal Companion: Chyna thrives as the only pet, showering her humans with devotion.

Health and Care

Chyna is spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. She’s fully recovered from heartworm disease and intestinal parasites, with a comprehensive health check as of September 2025 confirming she’s in good health. Her adoption includes a microchip with registration. Chyna is house-trained, reliably signaling when she needs to go outside, and has no major health issues reported. Her $50 adoption fee (special rate through October 20, 2025) helps cover her medical and care expenses, including her life-saving treatment for heat stroke.

Chyna’s Story

Chyna, a 7-year-old Pit Bull Terrier, arrived at Zeus' Rescues in New Orleans in May 2023 under heartbreaking circumstances. Her owner walked her nearly two miles in the summer heat to surrender her, leaving her in heat stroke. Thanks to the quick intervention of the team at @msah101, Chyna’s life was saved, and she’s since been given a new lease on life. Spayed, cured of heartworm disease, and freed from parasites, she’s discovered the joy of soft, cozy beds and is ready to claim her forever sofa.

Chyna’s journey has shown her resilience and capacity for love. She’s friendly with people, offering endless kisses and her signature pittie smile, but prefers to be the only pet in the home, avoiding other dogs or animals to keep her stress-free. After over a year at the rescue, Chyna is eager for a forever family who will cherish her quirky charm, from her cuddly nature to her occasional toots. With her heart full of love, she’s ready to be the loyal, sofa-hogging companion you’ve been searching for.

Ideal Home

Chyna would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can be the only pet, soaking up all the attention and affection. A cozy indoor space with access to a soft bed or sofa is perfect for this “land manatee,” though a securely fenced yard for light playtime would be a bonus. She’s great with adults and likely suitable for families with older children who can appreciate her cuddly, gentle nature, but homes with other dogs or pets are not recommended. Owners who can provide a stable, affectionate environment and enjoy her quirky personality will find Chyna to be a loyal, heartwarming companion. A suburban or urban setting with a relaxed atmosphere will make her life truly special.
