Lawrence is a playful, dog-friendly boy who is ready to leave heartworm treatment behind and begin a healthier, happier future with a family of his own.
This sweet Lab and Pit Bull mix loves making friends, playing with other dogs, and soaking up attention in his foster home. He also has an adorable signature expression: Lawrence frequently gets his little lip tucked behind his teeth, creating a goofy smile that is impossible to forget.
Meet Lawrence
At approximately 2–3 years old, Lawrence is an energetic young adult with plenty of enthusiasm for playtime. He would thrive with a family that enjoys having fun and wants an affectionate dog to include in everyday life.
Lawrence may especially enjoy:

He is currently living in a foster home, where he is receiving affection and showing what a wonderful companion he can be.
A Heartworm Survivor
Lawrence recently completed heartworm treatment and is now moving forward toward a healthy future.
His adopter should request his complete veterinary records and discuss any remaining exercise restrictions, follow-up testing, or medication with the rescue. Lawrence will also need lifelong monthly heartworm prevention as recommended by his veterinarian.
He is reportedly neutered and vaccinated.
Dogs, Cats, and Children
Lawrence is friendly with other dogs and enjoys active play. A compatible canine sibling could be a wonderful match, although introductions should still be gradual and properly supervised.
His compatibility with children and cats is currently unknown. Families with either should ask Underdog Rescue whether further evaluation can be arranged before adoption.
Lawrence is not currently listed as house-trained. His future family should be prepared to establish a consistent bathroom schedule and reward him for going outside. With routine, patience, and positive reinforcement, he can continue learning the expectations of home life.
