Meet Max, a 3-year-old German Shepherd and Pit Bull Terrier Mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! This large, bicolor male is a curious, friendly, and playful companion who’s ready to leave his challenging past behind. After a tough start with previous owners who let him roam, Max has fully recovered from surgeries due to an incident involving a neighbor’s chickens. Now, he’s looking for a fresh start outside of Clallam County with a family who can provide a secure, loving home. Max’s infectious energy and funny personality make him a joy to be around!

While he’s best suited for homes with kids 8 years and older due to his size, Max is eager to find a family who can provide the love, security, and activity he needs to thrive. He’s great with people and large dogs (with proper introductions), but prefers a home without other animals like farm animals, cats, or small pets.
