Max’s Story
Max, a 3-year-old German Shepherd and Pit Bull Terrier Mix, had a rough start when his previous owners allowed him to roam, leading to an incident where he chased chickens and was injured. After successful surgeries, Max has made a full recovery and is now in the care of Welfare for Animals Guild (WAG) in Sequim, WA, as of January 2025. This resilient pup is full of life, spending his days exploring, playing, and charming everyone with his curious and friendly nature. Max gets along well with large dogs and loves human companionship, making him a great fit for an active household.
Due to his past, Max requires a home outside Clallam County with a fully fenced yard and no farm animals. He’s house-trained, loves walks, and brings a playful, funny energy to everything he does. While he’s best suited for homes with kids 8 years and older due to his size, Max is eager to find a family who can provide the love, security, and activity he needs to thrive. His ideal adopters will be committed to keeping him safe and engaged, ensuring he never roams again.
Ideal Home
Max would flourish in an active, secure home outside Clallam County with a fully fenced yard to keep him safe. He’s great with people and large dogs (with proper introductions), but prefers a home without other animals like farm animals, cats, or small pets. Due to his size, a home with children 8 years or older is ideal. Max needs adopters who can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and a structured environment to match his curious and playful nature. A suburban or rural home with space for walks and playtime, ideally in a quiet neighborhood, will make Max’s new chapter truly special.
