About Steve
Meet Steve, a handsome four-year-old White Shepherd and Husky mix with intelligence, athleticism, and plenty of love for his people.
Steve is leash-trained and already knows several tricks on command. He is highly motivated by treats, learns quickly, and would thrive with a family willing to continue challenging him physically and mentally.
Despite being part Husky, Steve is described as surprisingly quiet. He is also affectionate with the people he trusts and enjoys accompanying them on walks, runs, hikes, and other outdoor adventures. Mountainside Hope Foundation describes Steve as smart, active, loving, and eager to continue learning.
Steve’s Story
Steve originally lived with a family in Victoria, British Columbia. When his family encountered difficult circumstances, this formerly happy and well-trained dog began spending most of his time confined to a short chain without opportunities to experience the outside world.
After running out of options, Steve was scheduled to be euthanized. Thankfully, he was given another chance.
Steve has made incredible progress since being rescued, but his recovery is still a work in progress. He now needs experienced adopters who will help him feel safe, secure, and supported as he continues to grow.

Ideal Home
