About Daisy
Meet Daisy, a fun-loving and energetic American Pit Bull Terrier with a huge smile, an affectionate personality, and so much love waiting to be shared.
Daisy first arrived at the shelter in May 2025 after she was found wandering around a marina. The shelter tried to locate her family, but no one came forward to claim her.
When Daisy arrived, she was terrified and reactive. She did not want anyone to touch her and needed time to understand that she was finally safe. With patience and kindness from the shelter staff, Daisy slowly began letting people into her heart.
She was adopted in July 2025 and did well in her new home. Unfortunately, she returned to the shelter in October 2025 after her adopter lost his housing. Daisy’s return was caused by circumstances entirely beyond her control.
Now, she is waiting for another chance at the lasting home she thought she had already found.
Characteristics
Affectionate: Once Daisy knows someone is her friend, she showers them with kisses, cuddles, and love.
Playful and Energetic: She has an enthusiastic personality and needs regular opportunities to stay active.
Treat-Motivated: Treats are an excellent way to build Daisy’s trust and encourage her during training.
Loving: Beneath her initially cautious nature is a very sweet girl who bonds closely with the people she trusts.

Life with Other Animals
Daisy needs to be the only pet in her future home. She does not get along with cats and is selective with dogs, so a household without other animals will be the safest and most comfortable environment for her.

Daisy is allergic to chicken and grass. She requires a chicken-free diet and regular baths to help manage her allergies.
