About Cinnamon

Meet Cinnamon, a young Cattle Dog and Shepherd mix who combines the joyful spirit of a puppy with the love and companionship of an adult dog.

Two of Cinnamon’s favorite things are playing fetch and receiving belly rubs. She is active, playful, and ready to share plenty of fun with a family that understands her needs.

Cinnamon is still learning how to manage her excitement and practice better manners. She needs adopters who see her potential and are prepared to give her the training, structure, and encouragement she needs to succeed.

With the right family and professional guidance, Cinnamon has everything she needs to become an incredible companion.

Characteristics

  • Playful: Cinnamon loves a good game of fetch and would happily keep the fun going with her favorite person.

  • Affectionate: When playtime is over, she is always ready to enjoy some well-earned belly rubs.

  • Active: She needs regular exercise, playtime, and engaging activities that give her positive outlets for her energy.

  • Young at Heart: Cinnamon may have an adult body, but she still approaches life with plenty of puppy-like enthusiasm.

  • House-Trained: She already understands an important part of living successfully in a home.

  • Trainable: Cinnamon would benefit from consistent, enjoyable training routines that keep her mentally engaged.

  • Ready to Learn: With patience and professional support, she can continue improving her manners and becoming her best self.

Training and Enrichment

Cinnamon’s future family should be prepared to work with a professional dog trainer. Training will help her practice appropriate manners, manage her excitement, and better understand what is expected of her.

Because Cinnamon is active and intelligent, training should also be fun. Reward-based sessions, fetch, puzzle toys, scent games, and other mentally stimulating activities can help keep her focused while strengthening the bond she shares with her adopter.

Her family should be committed to consistency and understand that progress takes time. Cinnamon does not need someone who expects perfection immediately—she needs someone who will invest in her future.

Life with Children and Other Animals

Cinnamon needs an adult-only home where her family can focus on her training and provide an environment suited to her needs.

She should also be the only pet in the household. A home without other dogs, cats, or animals will allow Cinnamon to receive her family’s full attention while avoiding situations that may make her uncomfortable.

As the only pet, Cinnamon can enjoy all the games of fetch, training sessions, belly rubs, and affection for herself.

Ideal Home

Cinnamon would thrive with active, committed adults who are excited to make training and enrichment part of their everyday routine.

Her ideal family will:

  • Have no children or other pets

  • Provide regular exercise and interactive play

  • Invest in a professional dog trainer

  • Practice consistent, reward-based training

  • Offer structure, patience, and clear expectations

  • Give her plenty of opportunities to play fetch

  • Make time for her favorite belly rubs

Cinnamon is not searching for someone who expects a perfectly polished dog on day one. She is looking for someone who will recognize her potential, embrace her playful spirit, and help her continue learning.

With the right guidance and dedication, this energetic girl could become the loyal, loving companion her future family has been waiting for.
